DR STEPHANIE LOUISE

Board Approved Supervisor

Stephanie is a Director and co-founder of Connected Minds, an Adjunct Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology and a Clinical Psychologist. Stephanie is also a Board Approved Supervisor and provides clinical supervision to psychologists and registrars. She was awarded a PhD in Clinical Psychology for her work exploring the use of mindfulness with severe mental illness and has worked as a clinician within psychiatric hospitals, correctional centres and community health settings. Stephanie has training in a range of therapeutic techniques such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy. She has facilitated group interventions for mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, complex trauma and psychosis. Stephanie has also developed, implemented and evaluated mindfulness interventions for mental illness and staff wellbeing and mental health training both within Australia and internationally.

 

Stephanie is a published researcher with expertise in mindfulness, wellbeing, resilience, neurocognition and severe mental illness. She has also presented on these topics at numerous national and international conferences.
